Coshocton County is fortunate to have four wineries and two award-winning cheese factories. You can create your own wine and cheese tour within just a few short miles. Pearl Valley Cheese makes award-winning cheeses and visitors can watch the cheese-making process during weekday mornings. Their retail store offers lots of free samples so you can choose the cheeses you like the best before you buy. Our wineries are each unique and an experience just to visit. Of course the wine is great, too! Heritage Vineyard Winery is Coshocton's newest winery located in the picturesque rolling hills of western Coshocton County. You will also find a quaint guesthouse for overnight stays there. Nearby Heritage Vineyard, is L.W. Randles Cheese, a wholesale/retail distributor of top quality domestic, Amish and imported cheeses where you can sample and buy cheeses of all varieties. Rainbow Hills Vineyard (740-545-9305) features internationally award-winning wines and spacious outdoor decks built right into the wooded surroundings. They also offer a bed and breakfast for overnight guests. You'll enjoy sampling the wine at Shawnee Springs Winery's covered outdoor pavilion located among the cozy wooded surroundings. Raven's Glenn Winery offers tours, tastings of their award-winning wines, a gift shop and has a delightful Italian restaurant where you can dine indoors or outside on the patio. Right a cross the highway from Raven's Glenn Winery is Unusual Junction, a unique shopping and dining complex housed in a restored 1895 railroad depot and several train cars. The station contains a cheese outlet featuring locally-made Amish cheeses. |
